In Part 1, we discussed diagnosis. In this video (Part 2), Dr. Akash Bansal dives into the most crucial phase: Stage 3 & Stage 4.

Learn how modern medicine allows us to treat tumors in the Liver, Kidney, Lungs, and Bones without major incisions, using precise "pinhole" procedures. We also cover Stage 4: Post-Treatment Care and handling complications.

In this video, we dive deep into the science of treating tumors in organs like the liver, kidney, lungs, and bones using "pinhole" procedures. We explain the two main methods used in Interventional Oncology: using temperature to destroy cancer cells and cutting off their blood supply. You will learn about Ablation techniques, where we guide special needles to either "cook" the tumor using intense heat (Radiofrequency or Microwave Ablation) or "freeze" it into an ice ball (Cryoablation) to preserve healthy surrounding tissue. We also detail Embolization procedures designed to "starve" or poison the tumor, specifically TACE (Transarterial Chemoembolization), which delivers high-dose chemotherapy directly into the tumor's artery, and TARE (Radioembolization), which uses microscopic radioactive beads for targeted therapy with minimal body-wide side effects.
