Reactions of Allyl Boranes. Organic Chemistry By Inquisition.

Alkyl and allylboranes do not tend to react with electrophiles, unless those electrophiles also contains a nucleophilic site. When the electrophile contains an nucleophile, formation of an "ate complex" can bring the reactive sites closer, and to creates an electrostatic potential that can be productively relieved by electron flow.
