Cataclysm 3 Deathwish True Solo as Waystalker

My first Cataclysm 3 Deathwish true solo win on 'Against the Grain'.

This run was performed with the Tourney Balance mod on the 27th of July 2023 (after the Waystalker & Hagbane Tourney Balance nerf went live), whilst also adhering to the rest of the Onslaught Series rule-set.

After consulting a few Onslaught Series staff members, there are about a dozen or so players at most with Cataclysm 3 Deathwish true solo clears. There's a good chance I am the first player in Oceania to achieve this milestone as well.

For those curious about how difficult Cataclysm 3 Deathwish true solos are, here are some of my notable attempts leading up to this victory:

Waystalker made the challenge quite a bit easier since I didn't need to rely on boss RNG when it came to the mid event since I could DPS at range. WHC & GK requires bosses to remain pretty close in order for intensity to stop decaying, which means that once I've cleared around two hordes with a boss nearby the pacing system (i.e. hordes) gets disabled until the boss dies providing a window to DPS. This doesn't work reliably if I get a Stormfiend or Troll since they can't keep up with kiting, especially if their pathfinding gets messed up by Globadiers and/or Blightstormers.

I intentionally leave Globadiers and Blightstormers alive to fill up the special slots to reduce the chance of disablers spawning, and with good RNG all those slots can be filled up with Globadiers and Blightstormers. However, for the mid event, Globadiers and Blightstormers prevent an easy clear if I get a Troll or Stormfiend since their pathing gets messed up by those specials. In all my attempts on WHC and GK I never got a Rat Ogre or Chaos Spawn at the mid event, which is extremely unlucky. If I was able to get one of those, and successfully ledge them, the rest of the map is quite simple.
