Having learned from my mistakes, it's time to try this again! For my trouble, I see more success. The Red & Purple OSDs are tough, no doubt about it, but they are hardly unbeatable.

One thing I can't emphasize enough with these is: scan the area before you start them. Look for obvious pathways that corrupted creatures will follow. These are where you'll want to defend most mightily. It will save you a lot of grief. The few enemies can reach the drop consistently, the longer it will stand. I also recommend using some metal behemoth gates and a Tek Shield if at all possible. They are expensive, but it's well worth it.
