The song was written by the bass player and the lead vocalist.

This track has been taken from one of the original and rare 'The Clockwork Lounge' demonstration tapes and is one of two tracks on this particular demo tape. This recording was done in a house using basic home-recording eqiupment.

The band had three members and on this recording ('Save Me Your Love') it consisted of:
drum machine
bass guitar/keyboards/organ/tambourine/backing vocals
guitar/backing vocals/lead vocals.

A drum machine was used on this home-recording simply due to the lack of space in the room for a drum kit to be set up and with the additional difficulty of clearly recording drums under such circumstances.
The drummer had definitely not been replaced by anyone nor by a drum machine. The drummer was an extremely important and valued member of the band and as much a member of the band as the bassist/keyboardist and the guitarist/singer.
This was a working three-piece unit of the utmost comfort and quality.
