How to Reinstall System Software from USB on PS5 Safe Mode (Fast Tutorial)

To reinstall the system software on your PS5 using a USB drive, you can follow these steps:

Download the latest system software update from the official PlayStation website.

Create a folder named “PS5” on your USB drive and inside that folder, create another folder named “UPDATE”.
Rename the downloaded file to “PS5UPDATE.PUP” and place it inside the “UPDATE” folder.

Turn off your PS5 console completely.
Connect the USB drive to your PS5 console’s USB port.
Press and hold the power button on your PS5 console until you hear two beeps: the first beep will sound when you press the button, and the second beep will sound after approximately 7 seconds.

Release the power button after the second beep and your PS5 console will boot into Safe Mode.

Select “Update System Software” from the Safe Mode menu.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Please note that reinstalling the system software will delete all data on your PS5 console. If you have any important data on your console, make sure to back it up before proceeding with the reinstallation process.
