Описание к видео Checking in with my Faery Neighbors: The Faery Wicca Tarot

In this video, I ask the local faeries whether or not the rift between us has been healed--and I receive the answers I need through my Faery Wicca Tarot.

Undrentide, Cliar Cu Buidhe
From a 14th century Briton lai, sung in Chaucer English
Modern English translation of lyrics:

It happened in the beginning of May
When the day was pleasant and hot
And winter showers had ended
Every field was full of flowers
And every bough with bright blossoms
Growth was everywhere and merry enough.

This same queen, Dame Heurodis
Took two prized maidens
Out into the late morning
To enjoy themselves in an orchard
To see the flowers of spring
And to hear the birds sing.

They sat themselves down
Under an apple tree
And very soon this fair queen
Fell asleep upon the green
The maidens dared not to wake her
But let her lie and take her rest.

And so she slept til after noon
The midday was past
And as soon as she began to wake
She cried and made a terrible outcry
She rubbed her hands and her feet
And scratched her face until it bled profusely.

She tore her gown all to pieces
And was wildly driven out of her wit
The two maidens beside her
Could no longer abide
But ran immediately to the palace
And told both the squire and knight
That their queen was going mad
And bade the king to go and seize her
Knights ran, their livery also
And the dames numbering sixty and more.

In the orchard, they came to the queen
The king took her up in his arms
And brought her to her bed
And held her there, very securely
But she persisted in one cry
She wished to go-- away.
