Delay 1 Damping Modulation

Описание к видео Delay 1 Damping Modulation

We put Contour 1 in loop mode, use rise out as the main clock source, and clock Step 8. Next, we use Step 8 step out to pluck Delay 1. We take the positive blend output of Delay 1 to the output (Transmit 2). We can now hear percussive Karplus-Strong synthesis.

Then we adjust the sound and base pitch to taste. Orbit 3's output is sampled into Step 8, which is in shift mode, sample mode and all analogue outputs are active (all mode). Delay 1's damping parameter is controlled by the shift registered output of Step 8's analogue output 1, attenuated by the slider. Orbit 3 is reset on the last step of Step 8. Every 8 steps Orbit 3 is reset—this creates a loop instead of a chaotic pattern.

The third analogue output of Step 8 is used to control the V/oct input of Delay 1, creating a melodic pattern, attenuated by the slider. Changing the frequency on Orbit 3 creates different looping patterns in both pitch
and damping of the sequence. Now we can adjust settings to taste.

Delay 1 is available worldwide. Get it now!
