Full VR Painting in Vermillion - "Midnight Mountains"

A painting in VR using the Vermillion oil paint simulation after its recent release on the Quest 2.

This is a painting experiment session with a dark moonlight landscape covering a range of tools and digital paint methods. The idea is to see how similar it can get to traditional oil media.
Only the sound of the brush and ambiance will be heard while painting.

I will go through a few simple cloud and fog blending techniques. As well as shading, highlights, and shadow, for the low-light mountain environment using the knife tool.
Eventually, I use the rigger and fan brush on subtle trees in the foreground for a stylized flat silhouette.

Traditional painting methods seem to work very well in Vermillion. So most of these will apply to physical media as well. Especially since primary colors mix correctly with the RYB method, as opposed to the RGB in most creative software.

I am very impressed with the program and the developer behind it.
With a little more practice, this may become another tool I use for future art prints.
