A colorful opening ceremony at the Hayatabad Sports Complex marked the beginning of a transformative journey for women’s cricket of the region. This isn’t just a cricket league
—it’s a game-changer, aimed at inspiring the next generation of stars in KP.

Provincial Sports Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan, Provincial Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi, Director Cricket Peshawar Zalmi Muhammad Akram & other government officials were present at the official opening ceremony of the 1st Ever Zalmi Women League.

Special shout out to UN Women Peshawar for collaborating with Zalmi Foundation, furthering our mission of empowering women and fostering inclusivity in sports.

A heartfelt thank you to the KP Government Higher Education Department KPCVE for their incredible support in making this event a resounding success. Together, we’re setting new standards for promoting women’s cricket across the province.

The passionate Peshawar crowd brought unmatched energy to this historic event, making it a true celebration of women’s strength & determination.
