The secret to self discipline has everything to do with our mind! Typically we make choices based on fear of pain or the desire for pleasure. When we procrastinate we think that we are avoiding pain and getting instant relief, but as we all know, usually we end up creating double the pain for ourselves in the future. Read Hebrews 12:11! We need to memorize and meditate on this verse and start putting it in effect with very small things. Pick one small thing you would normally procrastinate on, like doing dishes, and do them, then note how good it feels! The more you do this, your brain will become just as addicted to the peace you feel accomplishing things as it was addicted to the false peace you felt when procrastinating! Good luck!
