I want to show 2 new Blender 2.78 improvements to you, one for the bevel tool and obe for the select tool.

You can work with the bevel tool now very precisely by defining the number of segments to your bevel with the keyboard. The selection of filled areas can now be done with shift + ctrl + right click select.
