Footprints

Another classic from the pen of the master, Wayne Shorter. A simple minor blues, but with lots of room for exploration and improvisation. I try to start the solo simple and then build, adding increasing levels of tension and resolve along the way. The 6/8 Afro-Cuban type rhythm lends itself to interesting rhythmic possibilities.
