Ndindi Nyoro, the Member of Parliament for Kiharu, was unexpectedly removed from his position as the Chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in the National Assembly. Speaking at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, he expressed that he was never informed about the decision and only found out through the media.

While expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve, Nyoro emphasized that no discussions had been held with leaders from his coalition about his performance before his removal. His position has now been taken over by Alego Usonga MP, Samuel Atandi.

This change comes as part of a broader political shift following a cooperation agreement between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga on March 7, 2025. This agreement led to major changes in parliamentary leadership, with MPs aligned with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua being removed from key committee positions.
