At Connected Britain this year, we spoke to Bryan McIver, CEO of Vitruvi, to discuss the company’s planned expansion into new markets and the changing nature of the UK’s connectivity landscape.

“Vitruvi has been scaling quite rapidly for the past 2-3 years, and this year we have taken on a very significant majority investment from a US private equity firm. The investment has been transformative in bringing in capital, people, and resources” to enable the company to continue to scale globally, including looking beyond the North American and European markets.

In the UK itself, the broadband market is changing rapidly.

“We have been in the UK for just over 3 years. Since we entered the market, we have seen lots of maturing and development, and this year the big theme is a lot of M&A,” explained McIver. “A lot has been going on in the last couple of years in terms of investment and new companies being spun up, which are now beginning to merge into smaller groups. It is very exciting and transformational, and we excited to see that our platform continues to be an engine that powers these larger organisations as they get bundled up in these M&A transactions.”
