An operative key to success for any veterinary professional is finding the right balance of confidence and competence. A misalignment on either side creates the opportunity for risk, either in patient care or in clinic culture. However, finding this balance is not something that comes naturally. It requires patience and an ability to fail comfortably. You won't get it right the first time, so prepare yourself for it by exaggerating your strengths.

You're well on your way to being a successful veterinary professional. Trust the process and surround yourself with people that are of a growth mindset. In time, you will find yourself where you need to be.
