Burlingame: A Hidden Gem

Описание к видео Burlingame: A Hidden Gem

Burlingame is a neighborhood in the San Francisco peninsula that has miles of shoreline and near perfect weather. It hugs the widest part of the San Francisco Bay. Both sunrises and sunsets can be seen here over the water. This neighborhood of 31,000 is truly a hidden gem.

A blanket of clouds usually coats the surrounding mountains, which cools the area. This is especially true for the western half of San Francisco, where it’s pretty cold and cloudy throughout the summer. Burlingame is located just south of where the clouds break and just north of where the summers get hot. It’s a climate sweet spot. Not a single month in Burlingame has an average temperature above 72 degrees. Cool, misty mornings are cleared and warmed as the sun rises. Throughout most of the year afternoon temperatures are in the 70s. When the sun falls the temperature drops. Evenings are crisp and pleasant, even during the peak of summer.

Burlingame is a 10 minute drive to the San Francisco airport. You can watch the planes land over the Bay. There’s no humidity here, so there’s barely any bugs. It has easy access to city life, to silicon valley, the Pacific Ocean, the ancient redwood forests. The thing about spending time in Burlingame is, you just don’t really want to go anywhere else.
