Golden Star Morris dance "English Country Garden" at Upton upon Severn Folk Festival 2024

Golden Star Morris is an inclusive morris dancing side based in Norwich. We perform dances from the Cotswold tradition using hankies and sticks. We take pride in our quality of performance and practise hard to put on a good show for our spectators, while simultaneously trying not to take ourselves too seriously and have lots of fun!

We dance at a range of events, including folk festivals, morris weekends, local charity events and more. We particularly enjoy events that involve beer or where beer is available!

We welcome new dancers (no experience necessary) each year at the start of our practice season in September/October. Please do get in touch if you are interested in joining us.

Upton upon Severn Folk Festival
Upton Folk Festival takes place in the town of Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire, annually, the first May Bank Holiday Weekend. The festival features a full programme of concerts, song and music sessions, ceilidhs and workshops as well as a procession through the town at midday on Sunday, and Morris and other dance displays throughout the weekend.
