UPGRADING a Brand NEW M4 Mac mini

Описание к видео UPGRADING a Brand NEW M4 Mac mini

In this video, I unbox, completely disassemble, and upgrade the storage on a brand new M4 Mac mini. This machine having only been out for a day at the time I filmed this video, I was expecting the storage to be soldered to the logic board like previous Apple Silicon Mac mini models. However, to my surprise, the storage ended up actually being located on remove NAND module PCBs, similar to the Mac Studio! Unlike the Mac Studio, though, the standard M4 Mac mini only supports up to two NANDs, making its max storage configuration 2TB. In this instance, the 1TB NAND chips I had on-hand had issues, so I had to settle with two 512GB chips, achieving a total storage configuration of 1TB.
