Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday the 24th of January 2014, stood still for the installation of Gabriel Ojeleke Abegunrin as the new Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Ibadan at the SS Peter and Paul Seminary, Bodija. The installation ceremony, which was performed by the Apostolic Nuncio, Augustine Kasujja, the representative of Pope Francis in Nigeria, had in attendance 367 priests, 36 bishops, 4 archbishops, 2 states governors, many traditional rulers and royal fathers, church dignitaries, government officials and many other eminent personalities from the country and outside the country.
