Navy Boat Rams Into Ferry Near Gateway Of India In Mumbai; Death Toll Reaches 13, 101 Rescued

A ferry carrying 110 people capsized near Mumbai's Gateway of India on Dec 18. Thirteen died, including three Navy personnel. A naval speed-craft on trials reportedly rammed the ferry after its engine malfunctioned. Rescue operations involving Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Police saved 101 lives. CM Fadnavis announced ₹5 lakh ex gratia.
