Train Simulator Classic: Anniversary Excursion Special | EMD E7A | Portland Terminal

Hello everyone! Welcome to a new video on the channel where we drive Boston and Maine Railroad EMD E7A '3801' hauling 5 coaches beginning at the sidings of East Deering, Maine in the United States of America on the St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad during an overcast late morning in Spring. The train is tasked with traveling 5 miles to Union railway station on the Mountain Division where a big lunch is to be held with the only stops in between being for tourist related purposes on Commerical Street Crossing.


The timing of this scenario is a bit confusing but from what I can gather this is meant to act as a restored Boston and Maine Railroad special service operating in Portland during the days of Pan Am Railways where in this scenario they have organised this special service. However it's strange since the station we travel to is Union Station which shut down in 1961 whereas Pan Am Railways was formed 20 years later in 1981 as Guilford Transportation Industries so this route / scenario seems to be a kitbash of eras as a whole.

I based my research on the Boston and Maine Railroad era instead of the Pan Am Railways era for the naming of locations such as other railroad lines nearby. The Portland Terminal route has been discontinued on Steam for quite a while but now can still be found on G-TraX's website under a new name of Maine Maritime which is available for free.
