I made this MV partly because I wanted to join the trend, but mostly because of the eerie similarities between Ma-chan and the Backrooms. She’s trapped as a mere memory, forgotten over and over, and unable to break free from the loop. Since I treat the "MachanDoll" as an anomaly similar to Gold Ship, I inspired the thumbnail by those classic "3AM Challenge" videos. (Actually, it’s more that I suck at making thumbnails, but like I always say: When in doubt, shitpost.)

​I primarily used three references: the original, a Roblox animation of the original, and the intro of Hito Mania by Sasuke Haraguchi. All the images used are a mix of these references and other things I like.

Originally, the intro featured a laptop facing the viewer with no Machan cutout. After finishing the cutout, I added it and moved the laptop to the side to up the "eerie" factor. The clapping hands (which are mine, by the way) were a last-minute addition. Sorry if it looks bad. I don't have a green screen and Capcut's background removal sucks at removing shadows :(

Making a full MV was actually much harder than I anticipated. It took about a week to finish, though it would have been faster if CapCut wasn't acting like a [VERY COOL APP]. Most of the difficulty stemmed from my phone struggling to handle so many effects, animations, and text layers. Additionally, I’m using an older version of CapCut to bypass certain "Pro" features.

While it’s not a perfect video; you might notice a few mistakes (like some things aren't quite on beat), it’s good enough for me and I'm proud of the result. Just pretend that the mistakes are glitch effects.
