For many years, we have been welcoming visitors to NYAM's building in October to learn about the history of the building as part of Open House New York. Since our building is currently closed to visitors due to COVID-19, we've created a special video tour highlighting NYAM's architectural history. Join Historical Collections Librarian Arlene Shaner for a journey through NYAM's many homes since 1847, including an inside look at the spectacularly detailed exterior and interior of our 1920s romanesque building at 103rd Street and Fifth Avenue, which feature numerous visual references to the history of medicine.
