Vlog 23 of my world trip.

This episode I head to Florence on a bus from Rome, walk around the city, meet great people at the hostels and am transported away to my happy place when I find a place that makes gourmet gluten free sandwiches.

It's not all sunsets and architecture, the reality of a place like Florence is that it's just full to the brim with tourists. Whatever magic Florence has can be dialled right back as you share your view with a thousand tourists snapping photos, crying children covered in ice cream and people from middle America saying dumb things in a loud voice.

Your awe of the architecture can quickly be transformed into pity as you walk past the 5th person on that street begging for money. They're certainly not having a great time. There's no escaping it, the world is a messed up place, even if parts are pretty on the surface.

Still, in the end, Florence is worth it.
