Biography
HARMONIOUS GATHERING 11/11/11 -- ENSEMBLE BIO
The Harmonious Gathering ensemble was formed to spread messages of peace and harmony in our community and across the globe through the use of sound and music.
The ensemble performed a set of sacred chanting songs of devotion from different cultures in multiple languages such as Hebrew, Spanish, Arabic, English and Sanskrit. The ensemble also performed a set of original music that each musician offered with collaboration of the ensemble.
Hailing from many different parts of the world -- some historically adversarial -- the ensemble members comprise of Melbourne leading world music instrumentalists: an Israeli percussionist, Iranian string and vocal instrumentalists, a Chilean multi instrumentalist, Indian flutist, Israeli Oud/guitarist/vocalist, and Australian instrumentalists on Guitar/Harmonium/Tablas/Sitar and Vocals.
Fusing their diverse cultural backgrounds into exciting original and sacred chanting music filled with organic improvisations. This unique ensemble spreads the message of coexistence and harmony with their music and songs.

'Harmonious Gathering' was a night that captured the hearts and
minds of the audience on Friday the 11/11/11.
This unique ensemble comprises of Melbourne's leading world music instrumentalists.
Hailing from many different parts of the world -- some historically adversarial -- the ensemble members fuse
their diverse cultural backgrounds into exciting and original live music, filled with organic improvisations.
The music delivers the energy of that sacred night, 11.11.11, when we came together as one for the first time,
only for this special night, to play in unity with the intention of spreading peace and harmony through sound
and music in our community and across the globe.
CD 1: includes instrumental soundscape meditation with Crystal singing bowls and world
music instruments, along with a set of original songs with organic collaboration by the ensemble.
CD 2: includes a set of sacred devotional songs from different cultures in various languages
such as English, Hebrew, Sanskrit, Spanish, Latin and Arabic.
