Day 7 of my 12 Days of Dollar Tree Christmas Desserts 🎄✨

Today we’re making Grinch Cookies using a simple cake mix base. These are soft, chewy, crinkle-style cookies colored bright green and finished with piped red hearts...festive, fun, and perfect for holiday cookie trays.

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 box white cake mix
• 2 eggs or ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
• Just under ½ cup oil (7 tablespoons)
• Green food coloring
• Powdered sugar
• DIY Cookie icing (for piping hearts)

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs or applesauce, and oil until a thick dough forms.

Add green food coloring until you reach that classic Grinch-green color.

Chill the dough for 1–2 hours so the cookies bake up thick.

Scoop and roll the dough into balls, then roll each one generously in powdered sugar for that crinkle effect.

Bake at 350°F until the edges are set and the tops are crackled.

Once cooled, pipe small red hearts onto each cookie using red cookie icing.
