Sunset Poem is a real favourite of the Boys in Blue and we are delighted and very proud of our latest recording. From where it started we ended up with a different song in a different format which was all part of our creative journey with this project.
We were approached by rising talent Ben Tarlton from Llantwit Major to work together again. Ben has already given recitals at the Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St John Smith Square. Ben last performed with the choir in 2016 and it's been great to follow his progress since then and to have him share a virtual platform with us during lockdown. Being selected as one of the three 2020 Guildhall Gold Medal finalists has resulted in the opportunity to perform the Elgar Concerto in the Barbican Hall. Pob lwc Ben
**The audio was sung by 20 choristers individually at home during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and stitched together by our very own Nick.
*** The cello arrangement was written and performed remotely by Ben Tarlton especially for this recording.
