Macon, Georgia is the epicenter for all major rail lines of Norfolk Southern’s South Georgia and Florida network. We were there on October 23, 2020 just to document whatever action NS provided. Though, a couple hours were spent chasing a rare intermodal rerouted via the Georgia Central shortline due to a derailment on the NS Savannah District. Enjoy watching the numerous products of South Georgia ranging from lumber and woodchips to kaolin roll by on the many manifets, and other goods moving via different train types.
