Hey guys! I figured Id film a few clips of my restoration progress of a recently purchased Hallmark Santa Fe Madame Queen (5000 class) engine. This is a beautiful engine, however this one has suffered quite a bit of damage. I restore it to its (almost) stock, from the factory state. Enjoy!
List of work:
-stripped paint
-cleaned and regreased gearbox
-replaced missing union link rod
-repaired over 20 solder joints in various areas, restoring many loose or broken detail parts
-swapped bell cranks
-reassembled engine, replace missing screws
-restore trailing truck wheel insulation
-requartered drivers, remove binds
-added mabuchi motor and new tubing
-added insulation to soften gearbox vibrations
