As a death penalty defense attorney, Leon Huang has represented a number of high profile clients, including a 22-year-old assailant behind the 2014 Taipei Metro mass stabbing spree which left four dead and 22 injured. This particular case became such a nationwide sensation that the justice system quickly carried out the death sentence while disregarding problems during the investigation or trial process. This talk is Leon's chronicle of how the case unfolded, and his personal struggles with identifying root causes and possible preventions to capital offenses. ------
