[Live Surgery] Vaginal Hysterectomy | Heavy Periods & Uterus Prolapse Treatment | Dr Supriya Puranik

Madhu Ji experienced heavy bleeding with clots, frequent pad changes, urinary incontinence, and symptoms of uterine prolapse, which made her daily life extremely difficult.

During consultation, many doctors advised laparoscopic hysterectomy because of her previous C-section history. However, on detailed examination we found not only uterine prolapse but also urinary bladder prolapse (cystocele). This required a surgical option that could treat both conditions together.

We recommended a vaginal hysterectomy, which allowed us to remove the uterus and repair the urinary bladder prolapse in a single surgery. Compared to laparoscopic hysterectomy, this approach provided a complete solution in one procedure with faster recovery.

The outcome was highly successful. After surgery, Madhu Ji was free from heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic organ prolapse symptoms, and urinary issues. Her quality of life improved greatly and she is now living a healthy and confident life.

This case shows how vaginal hysterectomy can be an effective and safe treatment for women suffering from uterus prolapse, bladder prolapse, and heavy menstrual bleeding.
