McQuay centrifugal chiller startup, run, shutdown

It's a cool day out so the chiller is cycling and only running for about 10 minutes per hour based on calls for cooling.

1990 Snyder General McQuay PEH050 compressor, converted to R-134a many years ago. Serves a 60,000 square foot event center that includes a 500 seat theater, meeting rooms, catering kitchen, and 11,000 square foot gym. We estimate that it is putting out around 120 tons after the refrigerant conversion (can't keep up on busy days in the summer).

This unit will hopefully be replaced by a McQuay Magnitude in the future for redundant operation, more energy efficiency, less maintenance, more capacity and LESS NOISE. I do love this old screamer though - she's a baby beast. Made in Staunton, VA.
