Starting to see more blue gear, so at this point I'm looking for mods to improve my skills. As Devastator I want few specific mods for Earthquake and I'm good.

When we unlock Zahedi we can start crafting, but we still don't have a lot of resources. It's much cheaper to change a mod than to level up a piece, so when I find something higher level I just swap. I don't care about attributes, they don't matter too much yet.

I always want to be using highest level weapons, because their damage scales with levels. If I don't find a good higher level weapon I will level up ones I have.

One important thing to note here is that Average Gear Level doesn't really matter until it's 31+, that's when it starts giving AP and HP bonuses. Until then it's ok to have some underleveled gear. Don't waste resources trying to keep up, it's fine. Just loot some more and replace.

Something I do care about, though, is that mods that scale with item level (Ground Crush and Human Comet in my case) are always on highest level gear. Other mods can be on lower level gear, they will still do the same thing.

As for the gameplay, Bolt Action putting in some work in this one but most of the time it's best to just go in. Shotguns are really good for Devastator, because it can get two nodes for them fairly quickly. I'd prefer a pump but got a decent auto shotgun.

Variant of weapons is very important. Standard for bolt action rifles, standard for pump, narrow for auto shotguns when going FP, slug for AP.

I will also be using AR when I get a good one. Tactical variant is the best, it does the most damage and can shoot just as fast as full auto with tapping the trigger between bursts instead of holding. Takes a bit of practice but it's very useful. Improves fire rate by a lot.

The quest for the old man seems much more intense than I remembered. When I killed the elite guy I thought I was almost done. I ran out thinking only few left to clean up and suddenly I see red dots appearing everywhere. When that happens it's best to fight. If I turned around and tried to run I'd have like 10 guys shooting me in the back.

This was a good one, Death Count still 0.
