Oaxacan Indigenous Comunidades Embracing Cannabis with Steve DeAngelo

This day was one of the most touching moments of my life. I received a formal invitation to the Indigenous pueblo of La Pe, to be included in their first medicinal cannabis planting. Upon arrival, I was introduced to this Mother who’s son was diagnosed with epilepsy. One month ago she received her very first bottle of CBD oil, and since then she witnessed a complete turn around in his health compared to the long list of pharmaceuticals he was prescribed. He’s is more engaged, able to walk unsupported, and his seizures have subsided. Most importantly is that the mother has a renewed sense of hope and now she, along with the entire comunidad, are dedicated to making this medicine for her son. The Mother along with the testimonial of the entire Indigenous community are now convinced that this embracing of the plant holds the future for their way of life.

Stories such as Jayden, Charlotte, Ava and this beautiful boy is why we must continue to fight for the well-being of our tribe and planet. ¡Para siempre!
