Apostrophe S in English - Practice Exercises

Описание к видео Apostrophe S in English - Practice Exercises

Exercises to practice the Apostrophe S in English (Possessive Nouns)

There are three types of activities.

** Activity 1: Make a sentence **
You are given two short sentences.
e.g. This is Jack. This is his horse.
You need to create a simple sentence that contains a possessive noun using this information. Sometimes an apostrophe S is needed, sometimes just an apostrophe, and sometimes nothing. There are cartoons that show examples of the sentences to help with understanding.

** Activity 2: Multiple choice **
Three sentences appear on the screen but only one of them is grammatically correct according to the cartoon that appears beside them. The difference between each of these three sentences is the position of the apostrophe (or no apostrophe). Use the cartoon accompanying the sentences to help you.

** Activity 3: Family Members **
A family tree appears on the screen. Below it is the beginning of a sentence that includes the names of people in that family tree.
e.g. Steve is Stacy’s …
You need to complete the sentence according to the tree.
If you need help with name of members of the family, then see our video about this:    • Members of the Family in English | Le...

These three exercises are best to complete after watching our English language lesson about Apostrophe S - Possessive Nouns here:
