How to Cut Paper into a Perfect Square without Scissors.

Being able to cut paper into a perfect square for origami or a craft project is essential. Using scissors is not always the best way to go. This is a simple tutorial on how you can cut any piece of paper into a perfect square and you don't need any scissors.

The process is simple. You simply fold down the top corner to the bottom corner in a diagonal. So you start by making a triangle shape. Along the bottom is flat size that needs to be cut out. So you turn the triangle over and fold over the bottom part that hangs over the edge of the triangle.

This is going to be the part that is cut off to make the square. Now use the edge of your nail to rub against the crease. Do this two or three times. Then turn the fold the other way. And repeat the process, rubbing firmly again the fold. Turn it over one more time and repeat. And then fold it over one more time and rub again.

Now the fold is worn and ready to tear. The key is to position your left index finger along the fold and with your right hand to pull gently at an angle. As the paper tears, the left hand hold the paper in place.

Tada! You’re done!
