In this video, the Spotted Eagle Owl fledgling is seen standing on one leg, stretching his wings backward, and gradually lowering his body on the perch to rest.

Standing on one leg is a normal resting posture for birds and helps conserve body heat and energy. Stretching the wings and legs allows the fledgling to relax muscles after periods of alertness and movement. From this position, his long legs and developing body structure are clearly visible — an important part of growing into an adult owl.

As he lowers himself and settles on the perch, the fledgling enters a resting or light sleep state, conserving energy while remaining aware of his surroundings. These quiet moments are essential for recovery and development, especially during the early days outside the nest.
