This week's #fridaysews video is all about my MakeNine2024 sewing plans.

Whilst filming all my videos for this channel I have realised just how much fabric I have and I seriously need to start using it. Some of it is absolutely beautiful and I think I hesitate using it as it's become precious. I mean seriously I need to get a grip!

I've picked my patterns and have chosen the fabrics. Though the patterns won't change I might change my mind about the fabric, if at the time of sewing they don't feel right. Watch this space, as they say.

#1 - Maven Somerset T-shirt (Sorry I thought it was Mavern, so mis-pronounced in the video)
I love the look of the bishop sleeves and long cuffs in this t-shirt. I haven't sewn a bateau neckline before so I'm looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to making this up in the wonderful camo jersey I bought from ‪@CroftMillFabric‬

#2 - Vogue V1336 Sandra Betzina Block Dress
I have some black and white diamond stretch knit, bought in 2015 from Clothspot, sadlly no longer in operation, and some black rib jersey and blac cardigan lace for the sleeves. I'm looking forward to making this dress as all the fabrics feel right and it would work really well for the weather as it is in the UK at the moment. So this might be my first make.

#3 - Cavalcade Travel Bag by Sew Sweetness
This is a huge bag, so a real challenge as I've only make small cosmetic bags. I haven't picked the fabric for this yet, as I want to read through the pattern and then make an informed choice. I have lots of crafting cottons so I'm sure I'll be able to pick something nice. I need a travel bag just like this. I'm a bit scared, but more excited to start this project.

#4 - Sinclair Indigo Swimsuit
I did buy quite a bit of swimwear/ active wear fabric last year when I thought I might attempt to make a swimsuit. This is a fabric I haven't sewn before. It's very slippery, so it'll be interesting to see how this sews up. Will be an experience I'm sure.

#5 - Burda 5991 Skirt
Both these versions look good. Haven't made a skirt in a very long time, so I'll be making a toile first before cutting into my precious fabric. I love the burnt orange stretch sateen I bought. Just my colour!

#6 - McCall's M8164 Cold-shoulder Summer Dress
When I bought this pattern I bought the fabric to go with it and planned to sew it up straightaway, but something obviously stopped me as it was in my WIP box. So I retrieved it and looked again at the versions and will probably do a hack of two versions of this pattern. Also need to decide whether to use the plain fabric on the top or the bottom. Umm

#7 - Sewing Revival Fantail Sweatshirt
This looks fun. I've been enjoying sewing with stretch fabrics recently and dug out this pattern and thought I'd also have a go making this in some fun grey and bright pink leopard fabric

#8 - Sewing Revival Sidewinder Trousers/ Pants
These look interesting with the seam that wraps around the leg. I like that they are flat in the front, but elasticated in the back. I might make a toile initially before cutting into the good stuff!

#9 - McCall's M7899 - I love the look of this blouse. The detail on the sleeves is interesting. I like two versions of this pattern so I migh make them both. See how much time I have.
