Take your chili dogs to the next step with this easy chili cheese dog boats. Hotdog buns cut into boats then seasoned with garlic butter and filled with spiral cut all beef dogs and topped with loads of chili and cheese then baked in the oven. Top it off with more cheese and diced sweet onion. Enjoy!!!

Shopping List:
All beef hot dogs
Shredded cheddar cheese
Diced sweet onion
Chili
½ stick melted butter
1 large chopped garlic
¼ cup finely chopped parsley
Hot dog buns

Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
With a sharp serrated knife, carefully cut the top of the hot dog buns about ¾ of the way down on all four sides. Press the cut out portion firmly to the bottom. This will form a crevice, or boat, if you will, in the center of the bun.
With a sharp knife, cut a slit about ¾ way down along the length of the hot dog. Then, make small ¾ slits across the top of the length of the hot dog. You may have to cut the dog in order to fit the crevice in the bun.
Mince the clove of garlic and put into a microwave safe bowl with the butter. Microwave about 30 seconds until fully melted then stir in the chopped parsley.
Place the prepared hot dog buns into a pan and brush on the butter/garlic/parsley mixture. Place into the oven for 5 minutes then remove.
Spread the cheddar cheese in the bottom of the bun then place the prepared dog into the bun.
Cover the dog with the chili and more cheese and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the chopped onion.
Serve and enjoy!!!!
