EDL vs Real ID vs DL - Border Crossing Clarification Mexico and Canada

It is true. I made a mistake. Go figure. Can you use your drivers license with a gold star to get back into the United States from Mexico? I did, but was it legal? Today I talk about the difference between EDL vs Real ID vs a regular DL and I offer border crossing clarification for Mexico and Canada - well, sort of. It's complicated.
3 TYPES OF DRIVERS LICENSE
(1) EDL - Enhanced Drivers License ("alternative for entering the United States from Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean through a land or sea port of entry, in addition to serving as a permit to drive" - currently available in Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington) - https://www.dhs.gov/enhanced-drivers-...

(3) STATE DL - According to Homeland Security (link above for REAL ID), compliance with REAL IDs is mandatory in ALL states by May 3, 2023
