Bio: Sayen was born as Victoria Rah, the bastard daughter of Lord Rah and a mermaid whom he was seduced by on his way back on a ship about 16 years ago. Lord Rah furious at being taken advantage of, sends demonic demons to capture the mermaid. But Sayen's mother, Kalea, was too weak to escape, and the took Sayen away. Lord Rah gives the child to his wife Lady Shannon who helps the babe escape by giving her to a handmaiden her took Sayen to her tribe in Dhalphire. There the handmaiden gave Sayen her new name (Sayen, which meant "sweet & lovely") and gave her to the wife of the Chief's son, Nayeli. Over the years, Sayen has been raised as their own--as a beloved daughter of Gaia, not knowing nor remember from where she truly came from.
So this is Sayen. A young Gaian native in the lands of Dhalphire in the Otherworld.
The Gaian Tribe is one of the many different tribes in Dhalphire. Sayen is free-spirited, curious, playful, but respectful with a love of learning, animals, and nature. The simplest of things can make her smile, and there's nothing more worthwhile than being with her tribe, but even so she still retains a curiosity and interest about the other creatures of the world, especially the newer ones who've seemed to come out of nowhere. She'll speak her mind, and say what she has to say, though she's not demeaning and one most likely wouldn't look at her as so. She's still young though and is still growing up. She hasn't found herself yet. And wonders why the Beloved Mother [Gaia] has not sent her a spirit animal yet.
Abilities: She has a strong connection to the sea can could potential change forms into a siren if she ever discovers how to do so. She also has a number of other hidden talents with being of sorcerer blood and Spirit.
The Gaian people are very close to the earth. They worship her, prayed to her, and gave thanks to the shelter and food she provides them. It was said they were born from the seeds she planted. Raised from the dirt and blossomed from her womb. But They believe that all beings are her children, but themselves, especially, were her most favorite for after all these centuries only they are the ones who haven't forgotten her love and teachings. And they remain the closest to her still. It now remains a dependency to stay close to her. They lose ourselves if they don't.
All Gaians are born with a spirit animal. Some are born knowing their spirit animals (they'd send a dream to their parents showing them what that animal is), and others discover theirs later on. They all must live up to what that animals means and honor them. Some even say, an unseen bond with the creature will form; a greater understanding.
The native Salacians are descendents of the Gaian people. Even the Kingdom of Salacia was created by a Sea Spirit, most of the natives of Salacia, today, are descendant from the Gaian Tribe in Dhalphire. Centuries ago, after the kingdom rose from the sea, a band of pirates of Gaian blood invaded the shores of Salacia and mixed in with the few people that were there. The Rah family, the royal family of Salacia, have Gaian ancestry, but many people of the land no longer nor ever did associate themselves with the Gaian people.
(they range from Southern Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, and Southern European type people)
(The Gaians originally appeared like Native American, Polynesian, and Southern Asian and tan/darker skinned Latin American people)
