Date: December 25th 1978.
Location: South East of Lumphat, Democratic Kampuchea.

Situation:
For years now the Khmer Rouge has been conducting incursions inside Vietnamese territory in the border regions. Our civilian population has been targeted on numerous occasions and killed indiscriminately.
In response to Pol Pot's aggressive policies Socialist Republic of Vietnam has already launched a limited offensive. Today the full scale invasion begins.

Yours is a joint operation of the Army and the Navy forces. Mechanised forces equipped with amphibious vehicles and supported by Navy's marines will lead the way and capture the strategic city of Attapeu to open the southern approach to the city of Ban Lung.

The enemy is aware of our attack. Expect a lot of light infantry utilising guerrilla tactics. Be weary of traps, mines and ambushes.
Enemy armoured forces are on their way, but it will still take some time until they arrive.

Main:
Capture and hold strategic city of Attapeu.

Optional:
Gather intel from the village of Seg Begat.
Mine the road near Da Krong.
