🗓️ Card Expiry and Replacement

Validity Period: CSD Smart Cards are valid for 10 years from the date of issue.

Expiry Notification: A warning about the card's impending expiry is printed on your bills three months prior to the expiration date.

Replacement Process: To replace an expired or soon-to-expire card, you need to apply at the Unit Run Canteen (URC) where your card was originally issued. The application should be self-attested and countersigned by the Canteen Officer. Only a copy of your Pension Payment Order (PPO) or Discharge Book is required.

🛠️ Loss of Smart Card

First-Time Loss: A penalty of ₹500 is levied for the first loss of a grocery or liquor smart card.

Subsequent Losses: For each additional loss, the penalty increases to ₹1,000.

Waiver: The Chairman of the URC may waive the penalty in exceptional cases, depending on the circumstances of the loss.
