Inclusion in Action
University of the Punjab, Child Welfare Centre is pleased to announce the launch of its first special needs assistance YouTube channel named "E Inclusion in Action" under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Vice Chancellor University of the Punjab. The program holds the gracious support of Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain Ch. Dean Faculty of education with kind collaboration of Dr. Humara Bano, Chairperson, Dept. of Special Education, University of the Punjab, Lahore.
The Channel is the aftermath of constant effort from the CWC teachers who have been putting their minds together to create a platform for those who are not able to access the regular teaching simulations and meeting. The credit has been followed up by the leadership of Dr. Ayesha Wajihullah to meet the educational needs of special children with Intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) faced by their parents, in the current situation of COVID-19. The collaboration is shared with the consultation from the faculty of Department of Special Education, University of the Punjab.
The objectives of the channel as the brief source includes:
• Developing awareness among community about the education of the respective child in:
 Online teaching of following skills:
• Number concept
• Self-help skills
• Recognitive skills
• Fine motor skills
• Music
• Vocational skills (binding skills, envelop making)
• Physical activities
• Art and craft learning for parent to keep their children busy at home.
