Playing Mt. Ding Jun first causes Xiahou Yuan to show up at Jie Ting 12 minutes into the stage. Which is really too late to do anything. Defeating Chen Shi at Ding Jun before he retreats causes Huang Zhong to show up at Wu Zhang Plains pissed off in hyper mode. Clearing Jie Ting and surrounding Ma Su makes it where when Ma Su's ambush is triggered in Wu Zhang Plains, Sima Yi taunts him to lower his morale, but this puts him in hyper mode.

Playing on Hard with characters that aren't max level on the highest difficulty stages results in you getting bounced around a lot when you just don't have the defense to tank even a single peon hit. And no, Charge Bracer does not help, I've tried. The game has a tendency to give you way more Atk + growth items rather than Def so for most characters, their Def is lagging behind what the game seems to expect them to have. Also I accidentally got Zhang He's 10th weapon in this video.
