Continental O300 Connecting Rod Overhaul

Watch as we go through the overhaul process on a set of six Continental O300 connecting rods. These rods belong to an engine we are overhauling for a Cessna 172.

First we torque the crankpin end of the rods and measure the bore. Grind the rod and cap, and the use the horizontal hone to bring them back to spec.
Next we install new piston pin end bushings and again use the horizontal hone to bring the bushing to spec.
