Tidepooling in Monterey California - On the Search for Sea Slugs

Описание к видео Tidepooling in Monterey California - On the Search for Sea Slugs

Welcome Nudibranch Nerds! Join us on this tidepool excursion around the Monterey Bay Peninsula. We explore the rocky intertidal, an ecosystem that provides habitat for hundreds of animals, including nudibranchs (sea slugs), sea stars, anemones, snails, crabs and more.

My name is Madi McKay, and I am a marine biologist and science communicator based in Monterey, California. My passion for science and the intertidal began in Washington State, where I studied marine biology in undergrad, and found my calling as a science communicator. My journey now brings me here to California where I will be working on my Masters Degree.

We hope you follow along on this journey where we'll explore tide pools, learn about marine science, and break down ways to get into the field yourself. See you in the next video!
