It has been described as a quiet revolution - a growing move by Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory to educate children "both ways" where they learn their own culture, language, and knowledge, alongside western literacy and numeracy. One independent school set up by an outstation community in Arnhem Land has been so successful, nearby homelands are calling for it to take over their government schools.
