I won't say that you’re 100% safe when you go out sailing and there is nothing you have to concern about. Yes, there are a few lethal accidents in the sport of sailing that tell us we should be careful.

The number one cause of these deaths is drowning from falling overboard. But, these sailors weren’t using a life jacket. So you get the point here that the key to safety is being responsible when sailing.
